I was raised here in Boise and can honestly say, “I remember when that used to be a field” about most places we all know today as a subdivision or shopping center (including this one). Boise has grown exponentially these last few years, but one area where we have continued to lack, is in our home furnishings offerings. As a designer here for over 15 years,
it has always been my struggle to source beautiful and unique home furnishing options for my clients without having to travel to larger cities, so I decided to take matters into my own hands, and open my own store!

In 2018 I took a leap of faith and opened my first store, Feather & Twine Home, a sweet little shop that sells unique and affordable home goods from all over the world. That sweet little shop still owns my heart, as all first loves do… but I also realized the need for something even greater where I could take my vision and love of all things beautiful and unique to the next level, and in March 2021, I signed the lease for Bungalow and slowly built my dream for a better way for folks to create their dream homes into a reality.

I am an empath by nature, so helping people and creating a sense of community is my first love. When hiring my staff, I am always careful to select only the people that share my same passion and vision for being “helpers”. I am so proud of my team and get filled with so much pride when I watch them interacting with our customers with their full hearts. They are kind, smart, talented, and here to help you any way we can. We are family here, and we cannot wait to welcome you in!

I have always had a love for design. It was sparked from a childhood of moving around the country and being exposed to all different styles of architecture. My family had to make our “things” work in each of our new and different houses. From the ranch style to the prairie style,  I loved being a part of the process of transforming each new space into a functional and stylish home. This love carried over to my adult life and ultimately sparked a career in interior design that has endured for 20+ years. In 1998 my husband and I moved to Boise and purchased a 100 year-old house for $1 which we lovingly restored to its original glory… which then proudly earned the Orchid Award from Preservation Idaho. 

Boise is truly home. I’ve immersed myself in the community. Since moving to Boise, I have been actively trying to give back to it. I was on Ballet Idaho Board for 9 years. Was on FUNDSY board for 6 years as Gala Chair. I am currently serving as the board president for Camp Rainbow Gold.  I take inspiration for my work from the community surrounding and all the people I meet

I have reached the gold at the end of the rainbow…the dream job! Being part of Bungalow is truly a gift and I am blessed to work with likeminded women who I now call my friends.  

I enjoy listening to clients' needs, how they live in their spaces, and in turn creating comfortable and unique spaces they will love for many years to come.

My love for furniture and beautiful spaces was created from my Dutch mother.  At an early age she showed me how make a house a “home”, and while other kids were going to the park, my mother would drag me around to furniture stores.  Looking back, I would not have changed a thing as it helped to foster my love of interior design.  My formal design experience consists of years working in the Sun Valley area learning about custom furniture and appreciating collectables from across the seas while working at Tribes Interiors.  I also have 13 years’ experience in lighting design where I assisted countless homeowners with the final “jewelry” they needed to complete their home.  

When I'm not at Bungalow, you will find me enjoying the company of my two beautiful grandchildren, taking walks on the green belt, skiing Idaho's stunning landscapes, or watching Boise State Football.  My husband and I love to travel, and I'm also quite a documentary nerd and a lemon bar baking extraordinaire!  I love caring for my yard and keeping every blade of grass perfect.  Hydrangeas and Hummingbirds bring me great joy.

I recently joined the Bungalow team as Office Manager in 2022, and bring with me over 11 years of administrative experience in the Interior Design Industry and a true passion for what I do.  

I've been married to my best friend since 2011 and we have enjoyed living together in Florida, Hawaii, and Oregon before making our way back to Idaho, which I am so happy to call HOME once again. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, reading an absurd amount of books and spending time with my two dogs.
